Because a lot of people are selling everything and buying nothing.  People who are savvy enough to realize that we have a failing political leadership that is trying to turn a public health issue into a financial one and knowing they are doomed to failure.  This nation doesn't need billions in stimulous or tax cuts, it needs millions of testing kits and a national leadership that can provide them in reality rather than just continuing to say they are already available (Trump) or that there will be 4 million available next week...next week...next week etc (Pence)! Forget about Wall Street, the Fed, tax policy and the almighty dollar and concentrate on the damn issue at hand...fighting the virus!

The planet's total reliance on China for pharmaceuticals has been especially concerning to me.  Tucker Carlson has been harping on this all week.  I hate to break it to you Archie, but this reliance was certainly ignored for 8 long years in the Obama administration.  It is not solely a Trump problem, but he is going to fix it, I assure you.  Are you blaming your party too for this absolute negligent oversight?  I sure as hell am.

For years the wosening polarization of American politics has turned what used to be an, at least when required, bi-partisan government into a ''gotcha'' government.  So yes the Democratic political establishment is part of the problem as is the Republican and the reason is both sides now always skew to the extremes rather than steer to the middle where both the people and the needs reside!  Now for now...we are in a crisis which is being made worse than it needs be because apparently only one man in the world refuses to believe it is a crisis as demonstrated by the extraordinarily disturbing address from the Oval Office!  I think the reactions espressed in many ways demonstrates that very few people outside the ''base'' share you confidence the he even understands ''it'' much less ''he is going to fix it.''

And just think that HR 2214 the NO BAN act wants to make sure that Trump can not limit travel without going through congress first. Voted out of committee just 8 days ago 

1000 dead in italy - lets go ask permissions to stop travel which will delay the government response.

Archie, are you aware of the demographics of the Italian population that has been harshly affected?  I have an Italian friend with parents and family in Northern Italy.  He said that his parent's  village is in lockdown.  Only one person can go to the grocery store.  You must have a specialized governmental pass to board public transportation to Milan.  He says it is well known that the Italian population, especially in Northern Italy, is saturated with susceptible elderly. The only point that he is surprised about is how little the MSM portrays this demographic.  

So, a few questions.  Are you now still for open borders Archie?  How about out-sourcing of manufacturing in order to create this Obama fantasy of a New Interdependent Global World order.  Trump has got it right.  America first.  About damn time.  Manufacture here. Create our own energy.  Close borders.  Stockpile food and pharmaceuticals that are grown and manufactured on US soil.  Rely on no one but ourselves.  Enough already of this outsourcing  of our independence,  Not Trump's fault, he inherited this mess.  And for you to follow, like a blind sheep, the call of your party to lay this at Trump's and his administration's feet is in my view cowardly.

Well,

I am positive that Obama is no longer in office and was not scandal free.

I am positive that Clintons crookedness makes Trump look like a saint.

I am positive that Pelosi's attempt at impeachment on the slimest of grounds was for political reasons.

I am positive that Biden would hurt himself trying to do a push up challenge and that he is mentally less fit then Trump.

As Obama, Clinton and Biden are currently out of office ( in some cases in more ways then one ) what is your point?  As you like to put it, they do not matter any more except for historical references in regards to that you and Antifatech can find nothing wrong with anything that those 4 ever said or did.

Now Pelosi is in office and I think she is doing a wonderful job of losing her grip on the party via AOC, the Squad and TDS.

Funny you tell us not to talk about people who are no longer in office, but then demand we say nice things about the people who created the situation that caused people to actually look at the outsider Trump as a real possibility vs JEB! or any of the other former republican canidates.

So I am very grateful for Obama, Hillary, Biden who for the most part through their crooked ways, weaponizing the US intelligence agencies, IRS, FBI, CIA allowed for Trump to be be elected, which was a shock to me the day after the election.  When I woke up, I called my son in from the other room and we looked at each other and commented "Holy Chit, he won, Hillary will be really pissed."

I think you really need to think about what I(we)have been actually saying.  What we are saying is why should we listen to you, when you said nothing negative  for going on 11 years now about how wonderful, scandal free and perfect the prior adminstration was - when in reality it was anything but.

Trump is a blow hard and a jerk, yup I can admit he suxs in a lot of ways - BUT I am not putting him on a pedestal as if he was the 2nd coming of Christ - which you and Antifatech have basically done for the entire previous admin and carry his water to this day.

With Trump's ''full employment'' for which he takes 100% credit and with his ''immigration'' and ''refugee'' and ''guest worker'' reform and crackdown for which he takes full credit, just who the he!! is going to manufacture, transport, warehouse and distribute all this stuff.  Give me an answer!!  Are you going to take a 2nd job and give up all your play time at the lake?

Now, yes I am familiar with the social closeness of Italy and frankly admire it.  Are you familair with the social similiarty Italy is to much of non-suburban America? You need to spend more time in the real America and less in a sheltered enclave both physically and psychically!

Warehousing, transportation and distribution, I believe, occur no matter where an item is produced.  Off-loading from boats, trains, planes, warehousing in facilities similar to what we see all over south Atlanta and distributing via trucks occur every day.  If manufacturing is shifted here, where is the chain stressed? 

One of my favorite shows to watch while, during a down moment sipping my imported, organic coffee, is "How its Made".  I am consistently amazed at how little human contact is required for manufacturing nowadays.  Robotics offers efficiency, quality control, and mass production in ways that I could never have imagined.  American ingenuity, Archie, of which you probably have little faith in, would be more than capable of handling any stress that you whine about.

I guess he is suggesting that everyone currently in transporation is going to die from Wuhan virus and there will be a massive need for unlicensed, untrained, uninsured people to run trains and big trucks.
