Was nice to watch a game that I really didn't have a dog in the hunt.  I tended to lean toward LSU only because Clemson has won so often in the last few years.  A few observations.  First, the game took way too long.  ESPN had so many commercials that a 60-minute game took over 4 hours.  That is just plain ridiculous.  Second, there was a bit of karma with the ejection for targeting.  Ohio State could make the argument that the ejection they experienced in the semi-final was way more damaging as it was called on a 4th down that would have lead to a punt.  For me it seemed like a turning point and Lawrence arguably caused the call by lowering his helmet and a little bit of very good acting when he went to the ground.  So while I understand the anger of Clemson fans, its only because I think its a stupid rule.  But I didn't hear them saying that after they beat OSU.  Finally, Burrow is one fine QB and has a very bright NFL career ahead of him.  He is all business and threw some bold passes and ran effectively.  The Bengals would be crazy not to take him as their first pick.

All in all a pretty good game and both teams deserved to be there.

I didn't stay up for the whole game, but what I saw it was pretty evenly matched.  Didn't really have a dog in the hunt, but I was kinda pulling for Clemson.  Not sure why they had Nick Saban on there for the commentary.  I don't think he cared which team won at this point, I'm sure he is already thinking about next year.

Saban was terrible.  It was clear that he dislikes both teams and was bitter they weren't there.  He is so unlikable it is ridiculous.

Saw this today.  As someone that enjoys a fine cigar while imbibing an adult beverage I really appreciated this.  Stupid officer threatening to arrest them...probably a Clemson fan.  The death of enjoyment.

Yeah, I saw that.  Saban doesn't have a lot of patience for media under the best circumstances.  Don't know how often you watch him, but he doesn't turn on much charm for the media.  Not sure why he agreed to be part of that panel.  I don't think he was pissed or bitter, I just don't think he really wanted to be there.  IMO, Alabama really got screwed over in the final standings.  It just wasn't a good season.

Alabama ony played two teams ranked in the top 25, and lost to both in the regular season. its easy to look good against obviuosly inferior teams.  They only agree to play them for the millions in revenue, to hell with the shame of losing 66-6.

Like the other teams, Alabama does not pick the teams they will play.  That's why some teams play harder teams than others.  Auburn played some tough teams this season, but they didn't win either.  And I think this play off matrix is stupid.  Since I didn't go to either school I root for Auburn and I root for Alabama.  When they play each other, all bets are off and it's usually a great game.
