How pathetic that our Great Country has deteriorated under Trump. He is proud to have shut down the government. After putting their lives at risk, this is how Trump treats them. Why would any young man or woman want to serve in the Coast Guard?

To use some of your words, "how pathetic it is" that Our Country finds itself in a very "depressing" state because for over thirty years Congress has neglected its responsibility to enact "immigration laws" that protect us from the entry of illegal immigrants. Three presidents, Clinton, Bush, and Obama did nothing but "kick the can down the road" whlie immigration problems have continued to escalate. The recent stormning of our Southern Border by the "caravan" demonstrate just how vulnerable our borders are to the entry of illegal immigrants. Thank goodness we finally have a President who cares for the rights of our people and is adamant about passing new immigration laws. I find it "immoral" that many Democratic leaders alongwith the "fake" news media have over time agreed to the same needs for new immigration reforms that President Trump is calling for, but once he became President they are in total opposition to his agenda. They have no justification for their change in priorities other than they "hate" President Trump. They have "refused" to consider any legislation that includes an extension of a "wall or barrier" across our borders. Instead, Pelosi and Schmur want President Trump to sign legislation re-opening the government and then "debate" border security as a "separate" issue. This has been the way border security has been handled for over thirty years and today we are "boxed" in to a serious situation where "politics" are being used to divide our nation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Regardless of what "news avenue" you seek to find the "truth", almost in unison, you hear and see nothing but this is a  "manufactured" crisis. As a doctor who just lost his son at the hands of an "illegal immigrant" said to Nancy Pelosi last night on TV, if you had a son, or daughter, or a grandchild murdered by an "illegal immigrant", would you call that a "manufactured" crisis?  I think that "anyone" who does not support laws to extend the fence/barrier on our border with Mexico is "complicit" in the murders and deaths of our people which become victims of "illegai immigrants". Furthermore, as a father aand grandfather, I can"t erase the "picture" of the young wife and five month old son on Christmas Day, whose husband(a police officer in the line of duty) was murdered by an "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT".
