Read in the Outlook that the city has begun spraying for mosquitoes. Does anyone know if the county has any plans to do this also. Mosquitoes seem really bad this year around the lake.

I recommend Mosquito Authority out of Montgomery : http://mosquito-authority.com/mosquito-control/montgomery-al/
the owner is a friend of mine but they do great work.

Anyone remember the old days when airplanes would spray the lakefront at treetop level? We would always hope that the sprayer plane would come by when we were up there, and we would watch that crazy pilot dive on every stretch of shoreline and pull up for the next pass, probably never getting higher than 200 feet. Sometimes I thought I could touch the plane because it was so low.

Yes, I remember the planes well. Why can't that still be done? We spray our property, but our neighbors don't. In the old days, we were never bothered by mosquitoes.
