I posted a link to the APCO re-licenses map showing that the area aroud Pleasure Point Park was listed as "remove" and the link is gone? This map was dated long before they came up with the septic issues as a reason to close the park.

The to be removed from the lake martin land use requirements, they are required to have so much land for recreation use, public use, residential use, undeveloped use, During each re-license process they have to open areas.

What do you think the ADD means at Paces Point Ramp? and then there is some undeveloped land near by that also says ADD... it was changed from Natural Undeveloped to Recreation .. is it hiking trails? Have never been over there by car.

Here is the main link, there are pages and pages of information to look through, I did not study this complete package so I do not know all of these answers, they may or may not explain all the additional areas being added and why. Hope you find answers. I had hoped the folks in the park could have worked something out but after seeing this and reading the latest story in the paper where they said APCO turned down offers to correct all the septic issues with no cost to them and there were "steadfast" in the decision now there is no way it will come to be. Hope that that darn place falls into the lake after ever one gets there trailers off and APCO has to spend 10 billion dollars to clean it up and resolve the environmental disaster it would create. Just my own personal preference.

One other thing to note on that map is the area where Pleasure Point Marina, the boat ramp and boat storage area were not outlined with the rest of the park with Remove tagged to it. They said in the last artical in the Montgomery paper that they hope the marina would still operate? I don't care what they say about septic issues, this was a planned thing and time will tell what they have planned for the area.

And if that did come to pass, the only ones affected by that would be us. The total cost of the suit would be borne by the those of us using alabama power.

Apparently the Health Department did not agree with the home owers that the HOA proposed "solution" would actually fix the problem. I don't think it's a matter of APCO just arbitrarily deciding this issue. If the health department says it won't be approved, that's that. Every single homeowner that gets a new septic system has to get an engineer to design a system, and then the health department has to approve it. It's a two step process.
