From ACRE...Alabama Center for Real Estate..."Alabama's Real Estate Resource". The press alone will be good for the area. The 10.7% alone is not impressive because it declined so much but the effect will be greater since it is a compelling signal that we are past the bottom!

yes, that was some good news. I ran the final numbers yesterday, it was 239 waterfront home sales in 2012 vs 207 in 2011, or an increase of 15.4% - or about 50% better than our market as a whole. AREC pulls numbers from our entire MLS area, which includes off water homes in Alex City, Dadeville, et al., whereas I look at waterfront only.
