Is anyone else missing all their wild birds? All of a sudden our usually crowded feeder has no customers at all. This has never happened in all the years we've been feeding and it's been going on for 2 or 3 weeks!

Just a very few - they used to be lined up to eat. Do they know something about cold weather that we don't?

I read that most birds are Democrats and no longer feel welcome eating free meals in Alabama.

If they are year-round birds... there may be a hawk in the area keeping them away. Hawks love snatching meals from bird feeders.

Was wondering if it has anything to do with the huge flocks of starlings that have been around lately. Hundreds of them up in the tall trees making a racket. Also something I haven't seen!

We have noted a sharp decline in the Mallard duck population from years past. Canada geese around, but they seem to be in smaller numbers as well.
We are near Bay Pine Marina.

Everything with wings is headed South for the winter! Not a good sign! Just came back from Florida and you should see the number of winged fowl and ' Snow Birds'!
