Anybody hear when the new DG on Hwy 34 is scheduled to Open? Last time I drove by, looked like construction was almost complete.

It really is insane how much stuff they can pack into one of those stores. I went in one on the off chance they would have a paintbrush and painters tape to avoid running to Home Depot-- and they actually did.....along with an assortment of screws tools and even a toilet seat.

We were eating at Judy's tonight (great meal). Janet there told us the DG will be opening in two weeks. It will be the company's new super DG format that will include full service grocery.

Dollar General on 280 near CR 40 also has full grocery.

Judy is the manager/owner of the Stagecoach Restaurant on Highway 34. It is directly across from where the new Dollar General is going to be. I've only eaten there a couple of times but both times it was great and Judy is very nice. I've been totally spoiled by Poplar Dawg's Filet Mignon...it's the BEST I've ever had! We eat there almost every Friday and Saturday evening. Ricky and staff are wonderful and so is the food!

DG has Dollar General stores and Dollar General Market stors. The Market stores are larger and carry food including produce and meats. Watch for the sign to see which type store.
