I became a Grand Pa for the first time last night, a very young Grand Pa, I might add. A perfectly healthy baby boy. It's so strange how God works. I lost my Brother-in law, and best friend, 2 months ago and now this tremendous celebration of life to soften the blow.
There is 1 piece of bad news though. This event will keep me away from the lake this weekend.

Very small sips of beer for the first year or so,thats were so many parents and grand parents try to push there kids at first. When do the swimming lessons start?

That's great!. I became a grandfather almost 3 years ago at the age of 44. Seems way too young but some things you can't control. I'll say though, we are now beginning to have great fun with her at the lake as she gets used to lake life and swimming and fishing, and watching spiders spin webs and turtles and boats and different wildlife and.....well you know...all of the above.

Hi guys and gals. Just got back from holding my new grandson....ausome! His name is Brooks. 8 lbs., 3 ounces and 23 inches long. Where did he get his height from? Looking like a basketball player. PikeSki, we do need a forum alias for him as he is already well versed on the internet. I will take your suggestions under advisement. Will not be using training skis, going straight to bare-footin. Will be taking him to jump off the rock next weekend then, a couple of beers at Niffers concluding with kareoke at Chuck's. Anything I'm missing for his first weekend at the lake? Once again, thanks to all for the well wishes.
