Well RR, I guess you just didn't have any money invested in Exon Stock did you? You buy a Catboat, and it (Exon) will continue to go up. I know what you are saying though.

Bad idea for investment RR. First there is the payment, and then depreciation. Don't forget 94 gallons of gas per hour being used at WOT. And what about insurance? It's absolutely rediculous. Now for the good part..... If you want a return on your investment in the way of hanging out with skimpy clad bikinis, traveling fast on the water and making lots of noise then go ahead. Same for me, the market has become far too complex for me to make sense of what to do next. What I have found (or rather was advised to get into) have been Unit Investment Trusts, and have found that a UIT that uses the Value Line survey to pick a basket of stocks ranked high on the VL Timeliness scale have been very good performers in 2005. I further balance out the risks by investing in a 40/60% mix of the Value Line Target UIT and Dow Target UIT which focuses on conservative high dividend payers. All this saves me time and worry, plus the UIT strategy forces me to rebalance periodically when the UIT's mature. Check out First Trust for an assortment of UIT offerings. Exxon has been good to me, but the prevailing wisdom is that it is peaking right now... so I sold it off and will pick it up later. Meanwhile, thanks for using all that gas.

That's pretty cool. Unfortunately after a preview of my taxes this year I have to check my bank balances and mail the total to the IRS...
