Hey, my 4G LTE cell phone works just fine. When the day started, I actually thought we would work our way north today.....but as you know, several of us found a very comfortable Tiki Bar in Parker Creek and from there the day just slipped away on island time .

Marconi had a daughter named Elettra....she had two ships named after her. The first was a wooden sailing ship which has long since been decommisioned, the second an auxiliary ship of the current Italian Navy...the Nave Elettra...A5340....indeed a multipurpose vessel....

Do you still say "breaker 16" on VHF - thought that was for emergencies only - ie - "breaker 1 6, I am down to my last six Bud Lights"

Neither. The ship is not an offensive weapon. It has two 25mm guns (that's about one inch in diameter for the metrically challenged.) to ward off the Monte Carlo and Porto Fino yachts. Otherwise, it is physically defenseless. The large room on top is covered with a fiberglass fabric.
Lets just say it gathers electromagnetic radiations from free space.
It is also the sole reason that I have been to Italy 25 times since 2003....
Sorry to bore you, but NCII gave me the only excuse I ever had to talk about it on the forum.
And now I'll clam up before the CIA shows up at my front door... :>)
Peace.
