If you haven't been to the (relatively) new coffee shop in Alexander City, make sure you do.  It's nicely decorated, there is plenty of seating,  they are very friendly.  I stopped in there this morning for the first time and it was so nice, I plan to be a regular.  They have regular coffees, plus the usual list of espresso drinks, with flavoring choices.  They also serve frappes.  With my latte, I had a banana nut muffin that was delicious and nothing like something you buy in the grocery store.  They also have sandwiches and today they were offering free samples of quiche.  I don't own the place, I don't work for them and have no personal relationship with the owners.  I just think they deserve a plug for opening something Alex City has been lacking, and for making it a pleasant place to be. 

It's on the same street as Cloud 9, Little Black Dress and the pharmacy turned gift/clothes and lunch place.

I agree! It's a great spot. Here's a video I shot of the inside. I shot this and interviewed the owner just before Christmas, when they weren't serving food yet. But they are full service now:

have been 3 times--only 2 people working each time--food good ---but service was SLOW -SLOW_SLOW

I was in there at 9am midweek and I didn't think it was slow.  But I could see why it might be like that if it was on the weekend or when it was busy.  There were only 2 people working when I was there.
