I'm planning a special dinner evening with a good friend Sunday night. How is the service? food? time delay? overall experience? This has to be good.

I have eaten there a number of times. I know you will hear negatives about both food and service, but for a lake place, I think it is "fine/ok".

I'm not sure what you have in mind for "special", but, I think it is fair to say it is "special" in that it is on the lake, great view, etc, but woud not be considered "special" for its menu or quality.

Just a suggestion, but Springhouse is truly special although I am not sure it is open on Sunday nights this early in the year.
