is anyone having "volume' issues like us? we are finding we are having to increase volume on all tv's on all channels about 3x normal just  to understand what is being said. also, there is a faint echo to the words & somewhat high pitched; also, commercials are again louder than the TV shows.talked to Comlink & of course they say they have no issues ? maybe we're going deaf but I think it is a Comlonk issue; would have gone to another service years ago, but they are only ones who service our area

I was on ComLink until about 3 years ago when I switched to Dish.  The problems I had were 1: they wern't open on weekends when I was at the lake. 2: When you called during the week and asked for tech support, the girl that answers the phone says "maybe I can help" (she never could). 3: I never could get a clear picture on WKAB.  ComLink says it'd WKAB's problem, WKAB says it's ComLink problem.  WKAB has a lot of SEC football and golf, so that was thye last straw.  I'm not sayin' Dish is great, just better than ComLink.

Over the years I have been a voice in support of Comlink, and basically still am.  I was pleased in 1996 when I bought the little cabin to learn that there was cable TV in the area.  I signed up.  Some problems along the way, as with any service, but Comlink has corrected problems, and even some on weekend.  Also, have internet with them.

There are times when the I think the folks behind the internet cable modem 1-800 number and the folks in Union Springs are not on the same page, but so far we have had problems fixed.

That being said, I do not think the signal strength is as strong as it used to be.  We have had some internet issues over the past six months.  All have been resolved, but their first guess is something in the lines in my house.  I try to explain that nothing has changed there.  At one point I got the cable modem 1-800 folks to agree that the signal strenght did not seem up to par, but other folks still looked inside for problem.  They have put some new cable ends on a couple of lines, along with changes to the box up the utility pole.  All works fine now, do not have the sound problems bamaalum described, but overall signal not as strong as it used to be.   (Probably something to do with my inside lines...)

My wife agrees with you.  WAKA is what I meant to type.  By the way, a buddy of mine had problems with ComLink and he got a signal booster installed in the line and it has corrected the problems he had.  I'm not sure if a ComLink service guy put it in or if he got it at Radio Shack.

I have a booster that I bought online and put in.  I am one of those folks that has to have a TV in every room.  But, I make sure the cable modem has a direct line to the Comlink feed.

Did you check the list? There are variations and alternative options for Eclectic vs. tall pines and a northern exposure on Parker Creek....
