all I have to say is that's an extremely generous invitation, Steve. Our family wishes you and yours a very blessed Christmas.

I figured you would have told him I can't cook, and to stay away.

What area are you talking about? Lake? which side? Based on that I would suggest calling Oscars and others for east side, and sinclairs for east side. Not sure anything in Alex City would be open, but then, there is not much there on a non Christmas Day. Auburn might be a possibility, not sure if Cracker Barrel stays open on Christmas Day or not.
Best bet, figure out if McGill will be at Lake or in Atlanta, and show up at his door about noon.

Well, here you go. Waffle House may meet your qualification of sensible.....it's the only place I know of that's crazy enough to open on Christmas day when everyone should be with family and friends celebrating the birth of Christ. Actually, the invitation to dine with Steve was considerably more sensible because he has a lovely family (even if he can't cook, he tries hard and Dee Dee will pull up the slack).

The only eateries I know of that will be open on Christmas are Chinese places. If youron the dadeville side you might call piggly wiggly. They cook a lot of meals and are open Christmas morning for folks to pick up their meals. I am not sure if they sell plates or not but I think they may. As for CAT's offer it was sincere and you would be made to feel like family, but he can't cook. Just kidding, he actually does ok for someone that uses inferior equipment. If he gave up the Treager and got a Big Green Egg he could really up his game. :{)
