Tanner is an 11 month old Lab wandered off this morning and has not returned. We are on Deer Foot Lane (off Murray and Wildwood Rd. off 34).If you see him please call 205 876 4818. Thanks jim

Flakes, the owner, posted that Tanner was found. Hopefully, the owner of this Lab will read the Forum.

I just cannot understand someone owning a dog without either a rabies tag with vet name or an ID. People go through heartbreak when their loved one wanders and a simple tag is such cheap insurance. When you do a tag just show your name and telephone number. Never show the dogs name as it makes it too easy if someone is trying to keep or steal the dog.

Your last statement shows a lot of wisdom, but the fact that you have to state it makes me sad. I guess folks will steal a dog just like they'll steal a diamond. I thing dognappers deserve 12 gauge justice. Point blank.

I have my dogs microchipped, but that only helps if they end up at a vet or a shelter.

Only a truly evil person would steal a pet.

Sad. Posted over 50 signs up and down 50 & 49, Overlook, The Village, marina marin & he Harbor...also ran an ad. Posted this ad in several vets offices and humane society. No calls. A good neighbor at The Village took this dog back with her to the beach (where she lives) and has found a home for the dog thru her local humane society. Thought perhaps the 'owner' may have been a 'weekender' and would respond to the signs last weekend....thought wrong.
