Ordered by telephone this afternoon and arrived 20 minutes later--food not ready. Waited another 30 minutes, food still not ready. Gave up and asked for refund. Now i remember why we dont frequent Oscars!!

i called in yesterday at 2;30 for  1 takeout of the daily special; arrived at 2;45; paid -finally got order 3:10-(40 minutes)-there were 2 cars in customer parking but i never saw anyone inside; and they were out of cobbler--bummer

Oscar was working last Friday night, so I doubt it has been sold.  NOt to mention I just saw it listed about 2 weeks ago.  

I wish them the best, but if I was looking to invest 1.7 million dollars, it wouldn't be to buy myself an 18 hour a day, 7 days a week job.

Mediocre at best.  Not to say that everyone that works there isn't nice or friendly, but the food is mediocre.  Good luck to the family if they believe that their restaurant is worth $1M+

I can't be the only person who wishes that someone would open a restaurant that had new things on the menu and healthy options that aren't just a glorified lettuce salad.  Whenever anyone posts something about a new restaurant, I always go look at the menu with great hope and it's always dashed when I see the same old/same old.

Try NolaBama Snack Shop in Dadeville.  It's carryout only but they have several picnic tables outside under umbrellas.  New Orleans based menu, muffalettas, BBQ shrimp poboy, really good gumbo, jambalaya, Cuban sandwich (their plumber is Cuban) and several chicago style hot dogs.  Broadnax and South streets.

Update on Oscars-- take out tonight, 10 minute wait over what was told on phone-  3 folks ahead of me so big deal-  has not been sold as of yet!
