My annual reminder that starting g tonight there will be lots of fireworks around the lake so please secure your pets. Every year at this time folks loose their pets when they run away from fireworks.

Even if your dog is with you, please make sure they are on a leash.  

Also be aware that dogs are subject to heat stroke just like people.  On a hot day, make sure that they have water and shade.

If they wouldn't loose them in the first place, they wouldn't lose them when the fireworks started.
