I'm interested in finding someone who can do a spring-cleaning job on our front and back yards for our lake house. Just a day's work and nothing out of the ordinary: pine needles, leaves, some bushes we'd like to get rid of, maybe some small pines that need to go. Small front (lakeside) yard and not mucn bigger backyard. We're just not as excited abut doing it as we used to be when we were pre-Social Security.

Just NW of Parker Creek, across from Pitchford Hollow, SE of Oakachoy Creek. Spitting distance of the old Pine Point Marina location, now closed (unless they reopened it this spring, havenl't checked yet.)

Buena Vista Landscaping care and Maintence. Miguel Castillo is the owner. He is the brother of Carlos Castillo, who owns La Posada on 280 in Alex City and Dadeville.
His number is 256-794-3886. I found he does an excellent job and his prices are reasonable.

Thanks for the info. My wife who grew upo in CA and spent a summer or two in Mexico City years ago always enjoyed speaking Spanish to our former yard guy, who did work for us a time or two at the Lake. He disappeared at some point.
Except for the contractor himself, every guy who worked on the crew that remodeled our Lake house after we bought it from my folks maybe 7-8 years ago was exclusively Spanish speaking, except for a sort of translator-foreman guy. They were all pretty reluctant to enage in any sort of conversation with us -- why, I always figured was their business, between them and the gubmint. They did very good work.

Most of these guys also work at the restaurant, so they generally speak at least some English. I'm sure Miguel would enjoy speaking Spainish with your wife. They are consistently hard workers and every time they have been here, they work all day. I've been impressed, and I'm not easily impressed. The nice thing is that Miguel doesn't just drop them off and leave. He works as hard as they do. I must live fairly near to you, since I live off of Coosa 20 also.
