Can you believe this weather we are having in Feb 2011! Had the first summerization come in today, so I can only hope that this is the early beginning to an excellent summer, makes me wanna go for a lttle boat ride!

I couldn't believe it when I saw a bush today over on 9 with pink flowers all over it. And there is some kind of week that is blooming in the prettiest shade of purple.

Redbuds starting to bloom in B'Ham, and grass is starting to green up at the edges.
But, But,,, Early March around here is typically unpredictable. Probably no more 20* lows to freeze pipes and engine blocks, but often a freeze and even snow or a tornado.

Old Time Farmer's wisdom says do not plant a field/garden for Summer harvest until the Pecan Trees start to bud. Worked for them.
