What do you do when you and your neighbor's garbage cans are completely full and another cheap neighbor has no conpunction about leaving his/her garbage bags on the ground next next to our completely full cans? After two days, their garbage has been spread all over the road by crows and dogs......they have done this several times after the major holidays!

Gently remind them next time before they leave to either take it with them or if they don't have a trash can, make sure to stuff thrirs in yours and make sure the lid is down. And, if yours is full, ask a neighbor if you might use their almost empty one. We can and do work around it so no trash is left on the road.

This is our problem as well during long weekends when we have too much trash to fit into one can. Fortunately for us, our neighbors allow us to put our overflow trash in their cans if they are not full. What really helps us is we separate our recyclables home to put in our can. One option is to put a sign on your trash can that will hopefully shame them into doing the right thing. I guess as a final step if they ignore that is to try to film them doing it.

We live on Paces Point and and are the 1st garbage can as you leave.Exiting neighbors will overflow our cans and I end up taking their garbage home to Bham.

If you know who the cheapo is, after they leave take their garbage and spread it all over their yard a couple of times. I bet they will get the hint and sign up for service or take it home with them.

I feel for you. Fortyunately for us most of our neighbors live here year round and when we have overflow they graciously let us put some trash in theirs. But we would never fill one of their cans and would just take the excess home. Doesn't happen very often since we started taking the recyclables back home with us. Sorry for your troubles. Try the sign and then video them if possible.

I agree with Maddog. Just put it in their yard. I believe I would try using a couple of IR trail cameras set up for taking videos. They will help you convince them to do the right if you choose to address the issue with them directly. My method would be to show them the video before you address the issue and let the video talk for you. If that doesn't shame them into doing the right thing refer to my first two statements.
