It will tell you all you want to know about Hiden (stupid) Biden and the lies he continues to read from his lying teleprompter. It’s a real shame the dimokraps are using a mentally disabled idiot in such a terrible way!

Aw, c'mon wix, you know it is all Trump's fault!
(sarc off) Can you imagine what those a-holes in DC would do if we didn't have the right to bear arms?
BTW, with regard to the "well-regulated militia" Our Depertment of Defense, to this point, is the epitome of a well-regulated militia. I say to this point because I am not too sure about the current SecDef. Time will tell.

I’m not in favor of ex-0-7’s thru 10’s taking civilian defense jobs. They’ve been kissing butts for so many years they’ve forgotten how to make a true stand for what’s right. Unfortunately, the SecDef is in his position as a dimokrap token.

Your response indicates you have more than a passing familiarity with senior officer grades. Interesting. My candid observation regarding the current administration is that they are trying to check as many squares as possible and competency for the job and looking out for the good of the country are less important than race and gender. I will withold judgement on the current SecDef until I have a chance to talk with my good friend who is at the upper end of that grade scale and the military hierarchy as well. It might not be as bad as it seems, but it might also be worse.

Was on the Air Staff as a young Captain 74-78. A vivid memory is while in the bathroom taking care of number one, an Army two star walked up to the "receptacle" next to mine and while "taking care of business" said "You know, this is the only place in this building where I feel like I know what I am going and can be reasonably sure of the outcome!".
I spent a grand total of 30 hours on Tan Son Nhut in 1971, while doing a OPSEC survey of a drone operation. Previous week was visiting U Tapao and several other locations in Thailand, so didn't have the real Vietnam experience.

Yep. It was an interesting tour. Heard there were 23 general officers in the building then, and more O-6 than O-3’s (me). The drawdown started while I was there and the career guys sent home most of the functionary guys, leaving only “bosses” to run the place. We’d have O-6’s coming to our area (TS communications) asking for help in preparing messages….the knowledgeable enlisted guys had been sent home!

And you would have been right. I can only hope he knows he's lying like every other politician. The alternative is too scary.

From what I observe Biden is an "any means to an end" kind of guy who has no morals except those that fit his political narrative. And in my opinion Joe Biden has fewer scruples than Donald Trump. At least Trump was true to his word and did everything he could to fulfill his campaign promises. Biden ran from his as soon as he got elected. Again, to him campaign promises are just a means to an end. Zero integrity.

Biden ran as a "centurist" but immediately took a big step to the left. He is an embarassment as a President. The reason he was so warmly recieved in Europe was that they knew that the heat was off of them with Biden, to pony up their fair share for NATO. Trump was going to hold their feet to the fire. Biden has made a public spectacle of himself at every speech he gives. He's slinging billions and trillions around like it's not money making every sort of promise to the base. I think right now the divide between the races is greater than it has ever been and Biden keeps pushing to widen it every chance he gets.
As far as the new SecDef, I'm not impressed. Despite his protests to the contrary, they are turning our military into a social experiment, which I believe will ultimately weaken the order and discipline. For every liberal decision comig out of the Pentagon, there are real military people in the field trying to grapple with it. Now they are similarly screwing up the VA, authorizing them to pay for "transgender services". It's clear that Austin was appointed to satisfy some racial equality formula - I think Austin was probably pushed along his whole career to satisfy someone's diversity numbers.
And then there is the lovely VP, who can't seem to keep her foot out of her mouth. She is clearly so far in over her head and she's supposed to "lead" the country when Biden finally steps down or falls down. Heaven help us.
I had become pretty fed up with Trump's personality, but his policies were so far superior to Biden's - or whoever is actually running this country. "Dr" Biden, the Community College teacher, wore her "love" jacket to Europe and the media went crazy comparing it to Melania's "I don't care, do you?" jacket - but at least Melania represented the country with class.

Can't wait for Archie's reply where he tells us Biden is the second coming of the Christ and all the country's ills are a result of Trump, Trump, Trump. Oh yes, and his totally off-base characterization of anyone not agreeing with him as a "Trumpista" and not capable of independent thought, especially when that thought happens to agree with Trump.

I have him on ignore, so I won't have to read his drivel. Anyone that can't see that Trump's policies were so far superior to this Biden mess isn't worth listening to at this point.
Case in point - Biden is going to pay for all his progams by "taxing the rich" and "making corporations pay their fair share", except for the fact that 1/ the US tax code is the reason so many wealthy people don't pay a lot of tax and 2/ that rich people are not taxed on their wealth, but on their taxable transactions. Same for corporations. Any idiot with any rudimentary knowlege of how things work would know this.

Plus, taxing the corporations does nothing more than cause them to raise prices so they can pay taxes and provide a reasonable return to their investors/owners. Eventually it all rolls down to hurt the poor sucker in the street. The Dems wont talk about that because it would expose them to the grand prevarication they are foisting on those poor folks.

So true. I'm trying to think if I have heard a Democrat with any economic sense, in the last 20 years. And the people that buy into their nonsense, don't have any economic sense either and that's the primary reason they are so poor and have to depend on the government. Democrats always fail to mention the high tax rates associated with countries that have the freebees that the Democrats always want to provide. And how the wealthy citizens of those countries claim a primary residence in the US to avoid those taxes.

I think this observation is pretty much the case for the vast majority of politians of both parties. I believe that one of the reasons the left became so unhigned with Trump is he actually followed through and tried to implement most of his campaign promises. And unlike most politicians he didn't care about what the liberal media thought of him or how the bureaucracy would be impacted. Most of them say what they think we want to hear and then when they get elected they are "in the club" and don't feel the need to follow through with what they said they would do. Trump was never in the club and never wanted to be. And for that he was hated viscerally.
Read an interesting piece by Mark Steyn in Imprimis about how far gone the U.S. is with our culture. One of the funniest lines in there was about how we are so unhinged with CRT, wokeness and PC that even the French are saying no thanks. One example is Marcon's declaration that no statues are coming down as they are part of the history of France. Too bad we have deranged Democrats on the one hand and craven Republicans on the other that refuse to see his point.

This is an incredibly important point that the vast majority of Americans simply don't understand. Corporations do not pay taxes. Only individuals do. All corporations do is pass along their tax liability to their customers in the price of their goods and services.
A second point is that if you took away all the wealth of the top 1% (not their income, their entire net worth) it wouldn't fund the goverment for any length of time. Of course we know that will never happen because they have the lobbyists to get the tax code right and the legions of accountants and attorneys to make sure they pay as little as possible. Same is true for the ultra wealthy......they know how to play the game. They publicly decry that they don't pay enough in taxes to hopefully protect themselves from the mobs while quietly engaging the best advisors to avoid paying a penny more in taxes than they absolutely have to. I have no problem with the latter as long as they aren't hypocrites like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, et al.

I too enjoy each issue of Imprimis and read Mark's excerpts. Rush was such a supporter of Hillsdale College (I know they were a sponsor of his program) and each time I receive Imprimis and Rush's newsletter, I'm reminded how much I miss him. I know he was a business man/entertainer, but he was a true patriot and his opinions were right 99.98% of the time.

Same here. Talk radio just isn't the same without him. You are spot on that he was an entertainer first and foremost and he understood that. His parodies were so funny because there was an element of truth to them. And what his detractors don't get is that what we liked about Rush was he believed the same things we believe.....American exceptionalism, limited Federal govt, a strong national defense, patriotism, love of God and family and so on.
