I understand that her hour of the Today show was cancelled effective today. All this because she questioned who makes the rules as to what you can and cannot be for Halloween. She mentioned that black face, if you were dressed up as a character, was okay when she was a kid. Of course the NAACP jumped on that, and then the black folks employed by the network. But really, she was making a larger point about how PC we are supposed to be - even into Halloween costumes. You also are no longer "allowed" to wear a sombrero and serape, because this offends Mexicans, you cannot dress up as an Indian, because this offends native americans, I'm pretty sure you can no longer be a cowboy, because that would offend the anti-gun lobby. Some schools no longer allow kids to celebrate Halloween at school, because it is a "pagan holiday". Do you really think an 8 year old who is drawing and cutting out ghosts and witches, and pumpkins are absorbing paganism.
Anyway back to Megan Kelly - According to one source, this is payback to Ms. Kelly for her support of the ME Too movement, especially as it pertains to NBC management and Matt Lauer. You may recall she filed suit against Fox News' Rupert Murdock while she worked there.
I don't think that people should do black face anymore than I think Black people should do white face, but we have become a nation of PC wimps who look for new ways to be offended. I really fear for the future of our country.

I don't think she realized just how liberal an environment she was going into at NBC. In her favor, she's had some interesting shows. She speaks her mind. I think firing her is shocking, because she spoke her mind. She didn't encourage people to don black face like they are in a minstrial show. She used the example of a woman she knows who used bronzer on her face to darken her complexion to go to a private party as Diana Ross. Megyn said "who wouldn't love to be Diana Ross"? But the NAACP jumped on it, and Al Roker and the other guy had to be offended and discussed it the next morning - OMG Megyn was not politically correct.
I'm sure they will negotiate an exit sum. And Megyn had made it clear that she wanted to cover the elections anyway. It just goes to show you how tight the circle has been drawn around white people, for what they can say without major backlash.
