I guess this is lake related. I just put up some bird feeders and I'm wondering what kind of birds other residents here see at their feeders. Also any recommendations about seed? In the past, I've always put out black oil sunflower seed, but it makes such a mess with the hulls; do most people put out the shelled sunflower seeds?

we put out the hulled kind and it is much cleaner but quite expensive. We have cardinals, titmice?,red-headed woodpeckers, dove, crows, mallards and squirrels.

If you put out a liquid feeder with sugar water in it you will get humming birds too.
