I feel sorry for the President that he was told to go to the bunker under the White House. After all, it would make him appear as a wimp to his supporters. So he lied and said he was just checking it out. Well, Barr told the truth and the fact remains the wimp went into hiding.

I don't think going into the bunker, as advised by the Secret Service, is being a wimp.  The situation was uncertain and changing minute to minute.  I might find fault with his Layfetter Park fiasco, but not with going into a bunker.

A church was burned, Trump was showing his humanity.  Reminded people that a relationship with God is necessary for a secure future, not Antifa, not rioting and indiscriminate looting and defamation of property,  not defunding of police.  I salute him for demonstrating what we all should be doing.  Franklin Graham said the same and if  Pres Trump's walk to the square was noteworthy and appropriate enough for Mr. Graham, then it is noteworthy and appropriate for me.

Fish, so what?  Some anonymous "establishment" source who should have kept his/her pie hole shut, felt the need to leak that info.  Trump is still dealing with these a...holes.  He knows the press.  He knows ABC, CBS, NYT, USATODAY would paint his being escorted into a bunker as an act of cowardice to American citizens who could not believe what they were seeing with their own eyes.  Why not lie to the press?  I would have as well under those circumstances, as his whereabouts should not have been any of our concern.

Barr simply, when the time was right, set the record straight.  Trump plays you guys like a Stratavarius.

That's assuming it's even true.  And even if it is I could care less.  Trump has all sorts of personal defects.  We knew that when we voted for him but his defects pale in comparison to Hillary or Biden.  The goal is to try to separate voters from Trump and they don't understand that issues like this or his affairs or mean tweets, whether we approve of them or not, have no bearing on how he does his job and whether he advances conservative causes.  On that front he is the most consequential President since Reagan.  And I readily admit to my pleasant surprise at how he has governed.

Politics is a blood sport Fish.  How I have instructed my children regarding being truthful in their adult lives is one thing.   In Trump's world, where he has withstood a monumental failed coup,  tolerated lies made daily by the MSM about him and his wife and family, survived a miserably flawed impeachment attempt with a transcript of what he said in plain view,  where he has done more for the minority population and gotten no credit for it, expanding upon the truth is an act of survival.  You can't be serious by focusing on why he went into a bunker during an acute riot right outside the WH, can you?

Of course he does.  Goofy is immune to irony and hypocrisy.  He is incapable of understanding when he should sit something out.  He is likewise impervious to our response that we factored all of Trump's foibles into the equation but when you look at the alternative it is a no brainer.  Hillary or Trump?  Trump.  Biden or Trump?  Trump.  Biden's VP or Trump?  Trump.  No perfect choices but when you compare the imperfect Democrat to the imperfect Trump it is quite literally the easiest decision in the world.

How hard is it to make a simple statement that you can support someones rights under the constitution, but not when they violate someone elses rights.  I can support your right to say really stupid things, but not your assumed "right" to burn, loot and smash others property.
