Casey Cagle, a GOP runoff candidate for governor of GA, is in hot water because a private message has been made public by his opponent Brian Kemp. In the revealed conversation Mr Cagle says without apparent concern or regret that the GOP primary is a competition to decide which candidate is the craziest. I am not sure whether he or Mr Kemp will be awarded the chance to run in the general election by winning the competition as to who is crazier. I am sure it is a sad situation that the modern Republican party has reached a point where neither candidate is disputing Cagle's observation.

Why don't you take a break from politics? Seems just about everything has your hair on fire. I think you may have a breakdown before 2020. We get it. You are a Democrat, you think liberal, you aren't going to like anything that Trump or any other Republic does. We realize that you will always vote Democrat. That is your right. Now put your hair out and take a break.

Without animus, it seems to me he is consumed with a hatred for Donald Trump and anything he does. Seriously, I don't recall anyone on this forum posting equal - or even close - to the same venom toward Barack Obama. In a way I feel for the guy.

If you do not recall anybody posting comments as filled with "venom" posted against Barack Obama you were not paying much attention between 2009 and 2017!
But you are correct about one thing, I do in fact hate Donald Trump and will until he does something to demonstrate a reason for me not to do so? I am not holding my breath.
i have voted for many Republicans over the years including for one of the current candidates fo GA governor to his recent position of Secty of State. I have been disappointed in his performance which turned on extreme partisanship in an office where neutrality is most needed. He is currently winning the competition as "craziest" which has become a prerequisite to win a GOP primary in any southern state!

What is it that you don't understand? The content of your post is so meaningless that it is not worth even responding to. I agree with Tallullahound, you need to take some time off and get a new grip on life that takes you away from Trump's daily grind on your senses or the lack thereeof.

Your non-response to my ''meaningless'' post is in fact an outstanding response...It demonstrates that the Republican ''base'' at best do not give a damn and at worst are proud that your party primaries have become a contest to decide who is the craziest of the choices in order to choose that person as your candidate! Y'all must be so proud! Of course Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan are turning in their graves and the decent people who, until the T-party coup, were the GOP stalwarts are shaking their heads in disgust. You have in fact become the party of the ''deplorables''!

You sure have a knack for twisting things as a way to support your nonsense. I will use your approach and agree that the Presidents that you name are turning over in their graves but only because they understand that we now have a President who believes in making America Great Again instead of apologiizing like your "idol" did. You must be equally proud of your non-biased FBI Strozk. If you frequent Walmart you "stink" and if you are from northern Virginia you are a "hillbilly".

Ok, so here you go. You posted an allegation that the Republican in a California race said it was a contest to see who is the craziest. You didn’t cite a source, so you expect us to believe it really happened and that you didn’t take it out of context . And you think it proves we all are mindless “Trumpistas” (your term) because we didn’t fawn all over you with copious mea culpas for believing the Republican way is better than the Democrat way. Get a grip and get out of that self-appointed Ivory Tower and understand that, in spite of his shortcomings, Donald Trump is doing good things for the USA. And give us your source so we can decide for ourselves whether we share your Chicken Little assessment of the Republican Party
You are, at least from your posts, convinced that Donald Trump is the devil incarnate. Well, a good number of us don’t believe that, but do believe he is a Patriot with rough edges. We are capable of independent though and our not cowtowing to your view of reality doesn’t make us wrong and certainly doesn’t make us some of the very unpleasant things you have said about us. Simply using the term “Trumpistas” is insulting, but I guess that is OK by you. I am not sure how you define that term but am pretty sure I don’t fit tthat definition.

Not CA (California), but your nextdoor neighbor...(GA) Georgia! One of the GOP candidates in the primary run-off is on tape saying the GOP primary is all about deciding who is the craziest in selecting the candidate to lead the ticket. After the tape becomes public neither candidate is willing to condemn what is said. Do you not have any problem with that? Obviously nobody else on this forum is in anyway concerned beyond dumping on the messager!!
Now as my source...try every newspaper and TV station in the state of GA! As I say, it is on tape...you too can hear it with your own ears!

Well, a republican in a California or Georgia race has to be either into sadism or really crazy.
And since Archie love to spout off about Alabama politics, his self defined crazy is in GA.

Of Course he is proud of that - Since he has not posted anything negative about it he must be pro-GA Dem bribes, money laundering, obstuction and tax fraud.
I wonder if he talked about the subjects with his grandkids - then we would really know if he approved of it or not.
If he is not proud - its just cause they got caught.

you really are an idiot! You have to be to think there is any comparison between GA and CA when it comes too Republican influence...it is non existent in CA but in GA they run the whole damn show just as in AL! I dare say the last senate primary in AL proves the idea is to pick the craziest available there too!

Well woops - would not want to lump all of GA in with that lovely blue dot around your neck of the woods in and around Atlanta that reminds me so of the insanity of California, it just seems that since you are the only person on this forum who screams I am from GA and insane it was just a slip of the keyboard to equate GA with you - My apologies to the rest of GA on or off this forum.
But then again a GA politician did give us that speach for all time - Guam might just tip right the hell over due to overpopulation.
And I repeat that your self defined crazy politician is running in your state, not mine.
I do have to admit it was pretty crazy to have a democrat elected in Alabama- its amazing have not heard a lot of accusations against Moore lately - wonder why that is? Probably Harry Reid said it best after he lied - "Romney didn't win, did he?" and like any good democrat proud that his lie may have changed the election.
One day a court of law may actually get to the truth of the Moore allegations., if guilty I hope he gets the death penality, and if innocent maybe you can stand on the court house square and announce it loud and clear that an innocent man was slandered.
