It takes a really stupid man to consistantly and continually condemn others for pointing out his stupidity.  If Trump would stop saying and doing stupid things maybe the media would stop pointing out the stupid things he says and does.  If it is beyond the ability, because of their extreme partianship, for most of the people on this forum to recognize or admit the truth in this statement then you are as stupid, not to mentioned as hypocritical, as our Dear Leader!! I lived through Jan 20 2008 to Jan 20 2017 and To hear likes of Paul Ryan and members of this forum cry crocodile tears and lament that some want to ''hurt this president'' makes me want to puke!

You are right on one thing, that he isn't the president I thought he would be.  He has exceeded my expectations.

"He has exceeded my expectations".   Yes, I suppose that's true.   

He has also exceeded the expectations of 2 or 3 Congressional committees (chaired by members of his own party), plus the Justice Department and FBI.    He probably has also exceeded the expectations of whichever ally gave us the classified information that he revealed to the Russian Ambassador, the Austrailian Prime Minister he insulted, and the Turks who are scared to death of Erdogan.

He probably exceeded Lester Holt's expectations by candidly admitting he really was thinking about the Russian Investigation when he fired James Comey, and sent out a ridiculously threatening tweet to Comey that (probably) revealed he has tapes of his inner office conversations.... or on the other hand, was spouting a bluff that you would normally hear from an enraged jr high school student.  He definitely has exceeded the expectations of his staff when he contradicts the talking points they have crafted that are designed to clean up his unforced errors.   

All that, and more, in the just the first few months on office.

On the other hand, he is following thru on that promise to be a "disrupter".   Too bad his supporters didn't consider what this would mean when he transitioned this from a campaign slogan to a method of governing the country.   The question now is ...how much disruption do his supporters need to see before they come to grips with what they have done.....

Wanted to puke for 8 damn years listing to Obama and the dumba$$ trio on here.  The election was like taking a good swig of pepto  - soothing since we dont have that the wicked witch of Arkansas up there - I got what I needed - anything else that we get is gravy on the potatoes.

Congressional R's need to get their heads out of their butts and tell the D's to suck it, just like they did when they had a majority - but then again we are talking about idiots in congress on both sides of the isle.

Reminds me of one of a former preacher's favorite stories.  He visited a champion flower grower one time, and upon entering the greenhouse the grower picked up a rolled-up newspaper.  As they toured the greenhouse the grower would smack the plants with the newspaper.  Preacher was aghast and asked the grower why he did that.  The grower responded that without stimulation the plants went into remission and produced inferior flowers.  By stimulating them with the newspaper he shook them out of their malaise and caused them to produce better flowers.  I firmly believe that an applicable parallel is the US (the plant) and Trump ( the newspaper).

I've been around gardening & nurserymen all my life, and I have never heard anyone say that you can grow stronger foliage by abusing the plant.   That's just weird thinking.

Perhaps a better analogy would be if an airline pilot decided to jerk & whack his controls in a frenzy, expecting that this would make the plane fly better.

I believe one prunes fruit trees and grape vines to stimulate the production of more fruit and when repotting a plant, particularly one that is root-bound, one disturbs the nroos by cutting or pulling apart to stimulate new root growth, so no, it isn't such a wild idea.

Your airplane analogy is comparing apples to oranges.

Well, pruning actually needs to be done strategically and with great care, repotting is done with some preparation and attention to protecting the roots…..neither should be done impulsively and without thinking it through first. As a friend once told me, “you can’t uncut what’s cut”. Your guy is full of impulsiveness, as well an absolute belief that nothing he will do will come to harm (him).

But that’s a narcissist for you.

He also doesn’t take the advice of more knowledgeable gardeners…… and the fact that he has never been in this situation before doesn’t deter him from believing he knows what he is doing….even after repeated missteps. If I understand the Trump Philosophy you are describing, it is that his chaos always leads to improvement & positive growth…. Funny, I assumed thoughtful conservatives would be opposed to far-fetched philosophies like Anarchy…..and much more concerned about the risks.

So, no, the airplane analogy gets my point across just fine. And we are all at risk because we really are passengers on this flight.

I’m going back on my hiatus now. I know from past experience here that I am not persuading any Trump supporters to reconsider what they have done. Better to let Trump do the persuading, & we can all watch this together.

So no more snarky comments about ‘turning tail and running’, and I won't ask you how your Russian is coming along….. OK?

You have quickly dismissed all the missteps Obama made during his eight years of "HOPE, CHANGE, and TRANSFORMATION of AMERICA", which led to total disrespect for America around the world. What have the Democrats done for the people they were elected to represent during the last 100 days but whine, demonstrate, create riots, and use whatever other methods they can devise to interfere with the operation of our government as is called for in carrying out the "will" of the people. Is it not apparent to you that Obama passed new rules that allowed the NSA to share information it gleaned from its vast intelligence apparatus in the unmasking of those who were investigated. Who do you think is "dumb" enough to believe that what Obama did during the last days of his presidency was just a "coincidence"? What justification can be made for the need for such a change? The left is so wrapped up with President Trumps's relationship with Russia, they seem to have forgotten that Obama was caught on "open" mlke when he told Medvedev that he "would have more flexibility to discuss the sensitive issues of 'European Missile Defense" once he is reelected". You guys on the left seem to have a very "short" memory.
