I live a life of predictability.
It has become so common among the Right no need to post it. Kinda like riding on the bus. Grab me here or grab me there.
Assume you guys enjoyed your trip.

You referring to our trip to Scandanavia? If yes, we enjoyed it very much. Great sights, food and of course, beer. Very interesting part of the world. The fjords in Norway were amazing. Had both our daughters with us in Copenhagen but the younger one had to return to school in London so middle daughter spent the rest of the trip with us. Did several brutal hikes, one to the top of some mountain and above the clouds. I can't tell you how depressed I was after hiking for hours up into the clouds only to have them clear away long enough to see how much further we had to go. I was all for turning around but my wife and daughter would have none of that. We were so high and it was so cold my iphone crapped. Semi-funny story. We were in central Norway on Sunday and I looked at masstimes.org to find a church for Sunday mass. Closest Catholic Church was almost 100 miles away. Needless to say we didn't make it. Probably the first Sunday mass I have missed in 25 years.

Enjoyed your synopsis of your trip. It had to be most enjoyable to be able to have your daughters along with you. Quite a record you have for attending mass. Glad to hear you survived the mountain climb.

It was a nice time. My youngest daughter was studying abroad so we were glad to spend some time with her as she would be out of the country for almost 4 months. My older daughter had graduated from college and was bumming around Europe for a couple of months (on her own saved money) before starting work and she had planned to be in Scandanavia during that time so we went over. She was happy to have Mom and Dad paying for food and lodging for a couple of weeks. Smart kid!
As for the mountain climbing, that was nothing compared to some of the death marches those two have had me on in the past. I could tell stories.....walking from St. Paul Outside the Walls to the catacombs in Rome, hiking all over San Francisco, multitudes of hikes in National Parks, etc. I am getting too old for this!!

It was a really nice trip. Not the first place I would have chosen but since my daughter was planning to be there we were glad to meet her. And yeah, no problem on missing mass. Still kind of sad that there were no Catholic churches closer to where we were. Even at Lake Martin it's only a 30 minute drive to two different Catholic churches. :-)
