Did anyone else notice that the Rev Al was back to his old tricks.  Apparently he is threatening extortion if there is ever another award ceremony that doesn't include African Americans being up for awards.  Chris Rock beat the topic to death inside.  Are we now going to have a quota of African Americans that must be nominated for an award, even if their performance/movie is not among the best?  What is next - Rev Al will threaten extortion if an African American does not win an award?  Did anyone see Staight out of Compton or Concussion?

I feel very strongly about equality, but I don't agree with quotas, and I sure don't hold with extortion as a way to get what you want.

One bright spot.  I read today that Rev Al has lost his daily show on MSNBC, and now only appears on weekends, so he'll have less of a chance to spread his views.  He's been behind every riot involving black people/white police.

I voted for Obama, but I have never cared for Al Sharpton.  I was living in NJ at the time of the Twana Brawley sitaution and he was front and center on that.  Even after she admitted it was all a lie, he continued to push it.

The irony is they serve up a black emcee who then proceeds to call them racists and accuses them of treating them like slaves.  Well I can assure these pampered, over paid prima donnas that those who actually were slaves would trade places with them in a second. It's kind of hard for me to stomach people making millions of dollars a year for being someone else, living in mansions and flying around on private jets whining about how mistreated they are.  I for one won't watch anything with activist Hollyweird actors of any race, gender or sexual orientation.  Why should I enrich someone that takes their money and fame and then insults me or drones on about a hoax like global warming or whatever?

I still remember Greg Guttfield eviscerating Jennine Garafalo when she was pontificating on some subject and he asked her why her job as a comedian and actor qualified her as an expert on the subject.  She responded back with what did her being an actor have to do with it?  He fired back, "because its the only reason you are here!"  And that is exactly the point, they are only asked about these issues because they get paid to be someone else.  Otherwise why would anyone listen to their drivel?
