I am thinking that you… like I… are wondering about the political parties with which we are most aligned. You used to profess that you were a Democrat or a Republican.  Then, as the political establishments whittled away at common sense, you… like I… began to reassess our loyalty.

We became conservatives and liberals… not necessarily Republican or Democrat. We became independent thinkers. Somebody realized this and created a category (accurately) termed “independents.”  As self-sufficient thinkers, we have commenced doubting the effectiveness… even the efficacy of our own congressional representation. It has dawned upon us that they aren’t listening… or if they are, they aren’t interested.

Where does all this lead beyond the next election cycle or two? Nobody knows, but the best place to look for answers is within the Millennial Generation, the nation's rising leaders and voters. Last month, in a lengthy essay… I concluded that their revolutionary view of government and politics points toward two possible outcomes. One is that they might opt out of Washington, which leads us to some dark places. The second and more likely outcome is they will blow up Washington (‘disruption’ is the tech-inspired term they use), and build something better outside the current two-party dysfunction. Millennials don't fit neatly into either the Democratic or Republican parties. They are highly empowered, impatient, and disgusted with politics today.” [Ron Fournier, National Journal, 01OCT13]

The “Tea Party” is more of a disruption today than it was in 1773.  It is the “conservative” effort to repair our country.  There will come a liberal disruption… when the fruits of liberal policies begin to rot, and those who depended upon them realize they were had. Unfortunately, the liberal disruption will be in the form of civil unrest known as rioting. In either case, we will know our politicians for who they were… too late.

A pox on both their houses (dem's & repub"s) The only real solution is TERM LIMITS & NO pension for politicians

Certainly, our forefathers certainly had not envisioned a professional political class. This has become a problem where our “elected” representatives confuse the needs and will of their constituents with self-aggrandizement.

I submit, in addition to term limits, that Senators and Representatives from the states be reimbursed by their state… NOT paid salary and benefits by the federal government.

Appearing on Fox News's Hannity, (Travis) Smiley said, "The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category"  [Newsbusters, 11OCT13]

The DEMS will blame it on Bush... and the media will whip them into a frenzy. Regardless of how it goes down. They will have voted for the captain of their sinking ship. FEMA will not be able to handle this storm.
