Best...ABC Diane Sawyer & Baabaa Walters. Done with dignity and interest for the most part with a few inane or ignorant questions of Brits by "Smoky" Sawyer.
Worst: Fox news. Picture the beauty and pagentry of the brides entry into Westminster with the ever-present news bar running at the bottom of the screen: ...Alabama chickens killed in storm. Estimated chickens killed at 5 million......

But since Fox is Fair and Balanced, they had to give equal time to all.
To be honest ... i could care less about the wedding. I flipped the channel anytime I saw it.
But speaking of fair and balanced ... for whatever reason I stopped on MSNBC last night and saw maybe 5 to 10 minutes of Chris mattews Hardball. The time I watched, all he did is talk about Fox and their programming. I would bet he would love the ratings of any of the shows he was blasting. But the worst part was that evrything he talked about he made reference to the color of Obama's skin. Now when the left blasted Bush it was only his policies ... yet when the right are critical of Obama, it is the color of his skin. This is getting old from the left. When are they going to face it that Obama has been a horrible failure and his policies he promised just have not worked. Everything he wanted in his first two years he got ... and unemployment is still roughly 10%, GDP is growing, but barely ... in fact declining again ... and deficits are through the roof with a much larger government. Now he is giving us, the speech that these things take time. Yawn.... the only thing that is taking more time is him and the dems bankrupting america.

I didn't watch but apparently a lot did. I do a men's prayer meeting every Friday morning at 6:30am at our church and obviously the parking lot is always empty. This morning there were tons of cars. Apparently the women had arranged a big screen TV to watch and there had to be at least 50 cars in the parking lot. What am I missing?!?!?

Absolutely nothing.
Only possible saving grace of our spouses' interest in such stuff is that if they are consumed with that, they don't think about adding to our honeydo lists.

I think I was watching some of the wedding on NBC this morning. It seemed to be appropriate. Frankly, it was a welcome break from the tornado coverage. There isn't really anything more to say about the tornadoes and the devastation they caused. At a certain point, it feels intrusive and voyeuristic to continue to focus on people's misery. Not that my heart and prayers aren't with them -- of course they are, but I feel like I've seen enough.
Kate and William looked genuinely happy. And I liked her dress.

Caught fleeting glimpses through the early morning, wife and daughter hosted a hen party that kicked off at 0330. We fought two wars against them, two more with them, and aside from that, have a profound appreciation for the influence they held in shaping our democratic republic. I am proud of the Anglo traditions, the "pomp and circumstance", the higher standard that we had the opportunity to witness today. It is a far cry from the usual.

the British people came together as one, at least for one day, to celebrate their traditions, their loyalty and their delight in their marvelous history. We don't seem to be able to duplicate that except when we are seriously threatened and declare a war footing. Amazing. The British Royalty no longer is openly involved in politics. They carefully control their exposure to media. They live very private lives, but, but, they still command the focus of the world for a simple wedding?? Wish the USA had such a unifying icon.

Mathews gave the stupidest most immature comment on poor Barry I ever saw. I'd say his ratings are way down...
