ON WSFA (Montgomery), their meteorologist said that this drought at the moment is at 2011 levels; however, continued drought might see us at 2007 levels (when we all wondered if we would even have lake front property, because a lot of us could walk on the lake bad in front of our houses.

We have a very  nice creek at the farm that didn't ever stop flowing in 2007. There are just a couple of places that still have some pooled water but there is zero flow now. I haven't compared the numbers but it is as dry as I ever remember. So much so we didn't even plant a fall/winter garden. The water bill for a few cabbages and broccoli wouldn't be worth it. I am sure gonna miss the turnip greens though.  The local beaver population will miss them too... Lol.

So far I have only spread about a pound of winter rye and it has sprigged out yet. I usually over seed part of the yard with 10lbs.

Noticed that APCO issued an alert Friday that lake levels could fall below winter levels unless we get significant rainfall.

Might start making tenative plans to work on seawall/pier repairs.

While I wouldn't mind retrieving some rocks I spotted in '07, I don't like the thought of what the lake level would look like if this drought runs past plug day next year.
