please enlighten me as to how the DOJ & FBI can launch an investigation into itself ?? oh yea, i totally forgot--same way congress votes itself a pay raise--how stupid of me to assume there should be independence & no conflict of interest

I'm sure both have Internal Investiations which is supposed to be independent.  I guess they could do the investigation, unless they appoint a special committee.  Don't know about you, but as a taxpayer, I'm getting pretty tired of my tax dollars going to all these investifations.  I wish Trump would just move on.

I understand the sentiment of Trump moving on but it's kind of hard to do when he is being investigated endlessly by Mueller who is apparently desperate to find something to justify the ten million dollars they have spent so far.  I suspect that once this is over and assuming it finds nothing significant Trump will be more inclined to move on. 

Having said that, he and the rest of us are acutely aware that there appears to be no equal treatment under the law and that undermines everything.  Unless and until others from the prior administration are taken to task for their misdeeds Trump certainly has a reason to complain.  One would hope that now that Democrats have seen their jeopardy they may be inclined to want to wrap this up.  I am not optimistic that they can overcome their TDS and get there but the idea of spending hundreds of thousands on lawyers and the potential for an indictment and possibly a conviction can often be the dose of reality needed.  Especially given they no longer have an overtly politicized DOJ to cover their backsides like Hillary clearly did in the prior administration.

I agree that Trump has endured nothing but "wrath" during his entire Presidency. It is finally coming to light that if Hillary had been elected President we would still be "wallowing" in the swamp and none of the "Deep State" plans that are unraveling would have surfaced. Until recently, the phrase "deep state" had been mostly consigned to the bowels of the conspiratorial deep web, but over the past few months, since Trump decided to take his fight with the intelligence community public, it has witnessed a remarkabe florescence. The "deep state" apparently has Trump in its sights, at least according to former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler, who tweeted that a friend in the "intelligence community" told him that Trump "will die in jail." Some say that the phrase "deep state" is used to suggest that "dishonorable" individuals are subverting the "virtous" state for their "private" ambitions. It seems that the hope of many liberals is that a CIA program of destabilization wiil save us all from Trump. It seems that were it not for President Trump, the United States was in the midst of being consumed by Hillary and many others who have been identified as being entrenched in key elements of our national government. What is it going to take to wake up the American people?

Isn't everything politicized these days?  It saddens me, but it doesn't surprise me that the DOJ and FBI have become like a swamp.  Remember the days of J.Edgar Hoover when he used the FBI as a personal investigative service.  Remember how he kept files on everyone?
