I recommend that those of us permanent lake residents check on our parttime neighbors water pipes. With the warming temperatures pipes will begin to leak or burst. Multiple water leaks can cause all of us problems such as low main pipe water pressure.
I inspected my local neighbors' properties yesterday ,finding no problem. This morning my immediate neighbor main line in basement had burst flooding area until I turned water off at main. Called him to make aware of problem.

Betcha there are bunches of flooded homes and busted lines. Lake folks, part time and full time should shut off their water at the meter when they leave over night. I’ve had that good habit for decades. Had a friend who came home from a vacation to find water running out of his front door, down the steps, into the street. Had to replace just about the whole interior….water heater in the attic burst and ran full force for a week. Taught me a lesson, just seeing the inside ruined.
BTW, it was a large two story home!

Before we became fulltime lake residents, bought home, we had a cabin. Each time we left I always shutoff water at road. Just good practice even summer or winter.

and ASAP install a drain spigot at the lowest possible point in the water system. Shut of water supply but get rid of water standing in pipes.

After almost 15 years of ownership I learned the hard way to shut the water off at the street when I leave. Had the pipe break right before my shutoff box near the house and lost $1,600 of water. Dadeville had a one-time forgiveness program so I only paid $160 but from then on I shut the water off at the street. I did not drain the pipes which may come back to haunt me when I turn the water on. But we never lost power and I turned up the heat on the super cold days so maybe I will be OK.
