Do you love having a beautiful lawn and a crystal clear lake? Did you know that we can negatively affect lake water quality by applying inappropriate lawncare tecnhiques? Foturnately the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service has developed a guide to having a lovely yard while saving water and protecting lake water quality called "Alabama's Smart Yards".
On May 5th ACES and the Rock Creek Watershed Management Project will offer a free workshop "Smart Yards Landscape Management in the Rock Creek Watershed". The workshop will take place at the Traders and Farmers Bank in Arley, A from 1pm-4pm. Participants will receive a copy of "Alabama Smart Yards".
Visit the event website for more info: http://www.aces.edu/counties/Cullman/documents/RockCreekSmartYards.pdf
Let's help keep Smith Lake the cleanest lake in the state! Call (334)-844-9323 or email srs0013@auburn.edu to reserve your spot today!

I am more of a xeriscaper myself, but this is a good service. Thank you for helping to control the amount of herbicides and pesticides that flow into our lake and ground water. Hope the event goes well
