Having already admitted to being surprised at the discipline Trump showed at the debate I am beyond surprised at his discipline post-debate. He has apparently decided to follow the maxim to never interfere with your opponent when they are destroying themselves.
First of all, he has said almost nothing in public about the issue of Biden's debate disaster thereby avoiding the appearance of piling on or allowing himself to become the focus of the leftist govt media complex.
Second of all, he has very wisely delayed announing his VP choice. The govt media, being denied that pivot from Biden's dementia and the Dem party chaos has no choice but to keep this issue in forefront. A brilliant political decision.
Third, other than some dumb, leaked video where he profanely said he would rather run against Kamala than Joe he has managed to stay out of the news for the most part. And even this video, while crude, is him saying exactly what Dems really fear. Biden saw the disaster that she was when she ran for the nomination but was persuaded to pick her anyway because of DEI and now that mistake is coming back to haunt them. Yet another mess of their own making and Trump has managed to let it play out rather than making him the focus once again.
Given my failure at prognosticating the debate I will avoid doing so on whether Biden will bow out. The consensus appears to be he has no choice but I remain skeptical that Dr. Jill is going to let that happen. And now that Hunter appears to be joining these meetings and arguing for him to stay in it seems even less likely. The guy can't even perform the duties today and should announce he is stepping away but he is mentally like a child and will do what Momma and baby boy tell him.
I will leave you with the best line from the debate when Joe claimed we have defeated Medicare. "I don't know what he just said there...I don't think he knows what he said either." That one is going down in the debate history books.
