From a direct statement from the AMA...''The AMA does not reject nor support Hydroxychloriquine as a treatment for COVID-19, nor did it change it's position on the matter.'' They also made it clear that at no time had they given any approval of HCQ.  Now perhaps you are confusing AMA with FDA.  FDA has withdrawn its earlier politically influenced emergency use of HCQ as treatment for COVID.

Guess what Lifer, Phul, WIX, CRD,  \MM, Shorty et al?  The era of lies and conspiracy nonsense from sane people ended Jan 20, 2021!

Slurred speech, shuffling across the floor,  confusion and now, 25 some odd executive orders later, we have gas at 2.29$ per gallon and rising, a threat to our energy independence, jobs lost, families suddenly unable to make a mortgage payment with the stroke of a pen and a 2 Trillion dollar Climate package that Lurch throws out there while flying around in his private jet.  Not to mention the caravans of Central American upstanding citizens that are their way so that they can sign up for qualified citizenship.  (sarc)  Yup, sure glad America saw the light.

Your simplistic requests for yes or no answers regarding any healthcare statement is an insult to me.  Always has been.  In order to critique an organization's position statement, typically I would analyze the statement as we often did as residents in Journal Club, via a PUBMED lit review of references.  It is a worthwhile and time consuming process, however, it allows one to verify the veracity of conclusions reached regarding a certain hypothesis.  One can find any non peered review article to support their case.  The MSM has this down pat.  Putting time and effort in the analysis and references certainly adds weight to an opinion.  Your layperson analysis of a position statement is infantile (to be expected because you have no healthcare experience) and the answers you seek worthless to those of us who think (read academically) differently than you.  I respond to certain questions you ask when they intrique me, certainly few and far between.
