I was tallking to Mia Chandler today and she said they are still getting calls, so that is a good thing.  Ths signs are still posted around the lake.  I am so sorry that this happened to you.  Everytime my husband and I go out, we keep an eye out.  Beautiful dog and I can only imagine how you must feel. Prayers that she finds her way back to you.

I read a post on facebook that he was seen on Mount Pleasant Road two weeks ago. This is the county road that begins at Rushenville Church which is in the crurve of Hwy 170.This is about 1.5 miles from the split at 170 and 63 in Eclectic. If it is true, he is headed south.

I really feel like someone took her -- picked her up and kept her-- stole her...whatever you want to call it.  By now -- with the amazing job the owners have done bringing awareness to the situation -- if someone has her they are either purposefully hiding her or live outside this area. It's awful because you can tell they really love their dog and miss her terribly.   :(  She had on a  collar. People suck sometimes.

It's possible that someone has her, but has never seen the signs or read this board. But even in that case, SOMEBODY they know knows. If that's the case, they suck just as bad.

I came within ten feet of her yesterday near my lot.  Saw her on the edge of the road, stopped and tried to approach, but she shyed away and trotted off in the woods.  We looked for her some more, but didn't see her.  She's still out there, but I talked with the owner and the dog is shy around people.  Ryder has been seen on Ridge Rd twice and at Red Ridge Methodist Ch in the past week.  If you live in that area keep a look out.

Awesome! Thank you!! Where on 34 did you see her? We have a friend driving around the area right now. We do not live in the state.

On Ridge Road, off 34.  She was still wearing the orange/red collar yesterday.

Makes me want to go look for him now.  I hate that Ryder is out there alone.  How would anyone get the dog to come to them ?  May be the reason nobody has picked him up.  I hope they find him soon .

Here is something I have read more than once about finding lost dogs.

The owner's scent is key.  The owner will have to be dressed in clothes that have been worn for days, nothing clean, the scent needs to be strong.  Take favorite toys, food, kennel, etc.  be prepared to be at the chosen location for awhile.  The dog will find you.

I just read this morning about a dog that somehow got off a boat at Lake Michigan, swam for 6 miles and walked 12 miles, winding up at a campground, a dog rescue expert advised the owners to do this and it worked.

Good luck!

I am the owner. Did we speak yesterday on the phone? I am just trying to clarify if there was an additional sighting yesterday bc I did talk to someone who saw her on Ridge Road.

I do not think she would come up to anyone unless she really feels comfortable. Also, if she feels like she is being chased, she will run. She has always been friendly with humans and loves companionship but is much more of a dog type of dog! It's killing us she is out there alone too!

That's pretty awesome about that dog! We have been trying to leave clothes out at sighting locations.

I am willing to help if some sort of organized search can be planned. If she is a dog dog maybe a bunch of folks show up with our dogs and try to bring g her out in the open.

Yes, we talked yesterday.  A lady from New Site came by late yesterday and had dog treats and was going to try to find her.  We're still watching.

I do not know Ryder's owners and have not seen Ryder, but the news that he is still alive and well is about the best news I've heard in quite a while. Now it's time for even better news, which will come when we learn that owner and beloved friend have finally been reunited. Let's all hope it happens soon!!

We will be more than happy to join an organized effort to search for this dog. Just let us know!

I am really happy to hear this !   I will look while there this weekend.

For the owner-- is she attracted to other dogs?? That seems like a good idea that Lifer has! I have two Goldens to support the cause.

Yes! Ryder LOVES other dogs more than people!!! If we are with family or with a group of people, she'd rather be with the dogs than with us or any other humans.

Thank you. We are working on trying to get something together. We haven't had any sightings in the area for about a week now... Hoping to hear something soon!!

Sorry for the late reply, not being from the area, we aren't used to checking the forum as much as we should be! Ryder definitely loves other dogs more than she loves people! We haven't had any other sightings in this area for a few days, hoping to get another soon so we can get something together.

Thank you!!!!

small update: we got a call from someone who thinks they MAY have seen her near the new Dollar General off 34 on Friday 9/2. The dog seen had a more brown collar on (all other sightings in the area have said orange) and it ran down the long drive of a blue house which is back in the woods--- it is across the street from a white house with a red roof. Does anyone know where this is? We do know that the former Stillwaters Fire Chief owns a GSP and this may be his dog, but we do not know for sure. Any assistance with info would be great.
