Anyone have insight on the reason for some pretty signiicant land clearing near the Tatum Henley water tower on Coosa 20?

NO idea, but it is extensive.  Maybe they need the cash.  I don't know if Henly owns it, Alabama Power or if it was sold off with the water company to Rockford.  We kept seeing the logging trucks every morning, and couldn't figure out where they were timering until they got up close to the road.

All the property currently being logged on Hwy 20 is owned by Alabama Power. I suspect they harvest trees to make power poles? I wonder where their pole mill is.
