I have been on the lake for over 25 years. I have never seen so much boat traffic as there was this Labor Day weekend. Even the Fourth of July. Combined with a COOL stiff breeze and boat wakes, Parker Creek was whitecapping all the way to the back of sloughs.

Very, very pleasant conditions to take to a rocker on the porch with a glass of sweet tea and binoculars.....

It has been quite busy.  Even got out a bit myself.  Landing was packed, with boats waiting in line for a slip.  Amazing how the waves disturbed the shore lines and discolored the water.  Me Thinks we have more folks with big wave boats to enjoy the lake.  What you got in that glass of tea?

Amateur weekends are a good time to watch from a safe distance.

Sat was the most congested I have ever witnessed. (My 51st summer)

Sweet sweet tea, and just the idea, mind you, of a Knob Creek blush...

Ya'll estimate that there was more traffic than the Fourth of July (this year)?

Sadly I missed it as I had my two daughters headed off to Europe on Monday.  The good news is that since everyone was on Lake Martin and not in TSA lines at Hartsfield they got through in no time.  Am going to be there the next two weekends and am looking forward to the quiet.

now the weekenders are gone, fulltimers can enjoy the lake; 1 observation--coming over the bridge Sunday afternoon around 5:30--i noticed Kowaliga Restaurant had only 3 boats parked !! probably tired of the same boring menu & poor service as we are

By 6:30 Sun night slips were full with boats on the bank. 45 minute wait.

Count me in among those that are tired of the menu.  We've only been twice this summer, because of the limited menu.  Time for them to rework the menu.

More traffic than July 4? Yes, at least in the PC area. And it was constant, all day long.

Not complaining at all... there were a lot of boats out there, along with a stiff breeze and whitecaps on Sunday. Altogether very pleasant for sure.

Considering the number of boats circling to get a parking spot at the Landing, I have to believe it has something to do with the increase in boat traffic in the Parker Creek area.
