When we were leaving Sand Island this afternoon we noticed way up in the pine tree a video camera and a solar panel in the tree. Does anyone know who put it there and why it is there?

Could it possibly have been a night light?  Earlier this season there was a LED-type light illuminating Sand Island, but the last time I was by there at night it wasn't operating.

I pity the poor boater who doesn't see Sand Island on a moonless (or any other) night.  Could be in for a real surprise!

No, it was certainly a camera. If you go to Sand Island from Parker Creek the solar panel is on the Kowliga Bridge side and the camera is on the Willow Point side pointing toward Willow Point.

Roger, understood.  Did you see any ancillary equipment that could either record or transmit the video signal?

Dang, i know they often put cameras at key road intersections to montor traffic conditions, but on Sand Island to monitor Willow Point?  Finding that answer could be fun!

Rumor is that Willow Point is expecting the Pirates of Pirate Island to  invade the 13th green before labor day.

Really?  What do you think is magic about the 13th green?  Maybe the location for the birthing of the zombie apocolypse?

Or just some squirrels buring their nuts on that green an interfering with the 1%ers leisure activity?

No wondeer they want to record it.

lol....
