Not sure how it's possible but clearly they were not there to make sure Zelensky and others didn't skim hundreds of millions off the top.  This is what happens when your President is compromised by a kleptocracy as a result of a pay for play scheme with VP.  Like the threats from China to release bank information, Brandon has gotten the message that the funds better keep flowing or else.

Doesn't surprise me.  We have a rather large contingent of the 101st Airborne Division at the Polish border.  Theoretically, they are their for "training" Ukraine forces, but it would not suprise me to know that they were making small incursions into the fighting in Ukraine.  They are "black" programs, which means they don't appear on any official missions.

Thanks for that view.  But why is the US even involved in this hellhole.  Reminds me of Vietnam!  With our unstable president we may be looking at WW3.

That's a different question and a very good one.  We've had a significant security assistance program with Ukraine for a while now.  You remember all the trouble Trump got in for withholding their seccurity assistance traunch until September because he was trying to get Zelensky to get dirt on Biden's business in Ukraine. I assume that the reason they had that security assistance program because they are a fledgling democracy (but a corrupt one at that).  Biden failed to stop Russia from invading (he actually gave them permission for a "minor incursion", so I assume that we went all in because he felt bad about it.  But there also seems to be a large contingent of pro-Ukraine bureaucrats in the US.  It woud also not suprise me to find out that the CIA is running what I call "soldiers of fortune' over there too.  that also would be a black program. 

But there is no strategically significant reason that we would be fighting for Ukraine or fighting Russia in Ukraine.  They are not a NATO member. WE can thank Joe Biden for another screw up.  Funny that you should draw the analogy to Viet Nam, because I have often throught the same thing.
