WEEK 8:  Bamabob3 slipped up on Baylor (who didn't?) but nailed all the others accumulating 15 points (94%) to finish as the solid winner for week 8.  Twc, WarDamnEagle, and Dupont each finished with 12 points and  in the order given via the tiebreaker.  Bamabob's record-setting performance also moved him into the thick of the standings now only 1 pt. behind overall leader, WarEagle2010, followed by Bama for life and Lakngulf only 2 down from the top.  Using the Drop 2 formula shows Bamabob3 now tied with Maddog at the top with Lakngulf leading a pack of others within easy striking distance.  Congratulations to the winners for the week!  Week 9 now up....

Quite some picking Bamabob3!  Congrats.  I am either feast or famine.  But BigFoot has mentioned my name more in this year's reports than in the entire history of the pickin'paloosa.  I think he is just being nice.

I learned my reporting skills from Sgt. Friday--"just the facts, ma'am"...sadly, those facts seldom include me but seeing how you turned the corner on pickin'palooza success gives me hope that someday I will be runnin' with the big dogs...

Being an ex-mathematician with CRS(you know.. can't remember s---), I had to crunch some numbers on the odds of someone picking all 16 games correctly.  If you could assume that the oddsmakers attempt to create a coin toss for each game, then the odds of getting 16 in a row would be 1 out of 65,536.  What BB did should only happen once every 32,768 times!

I need a few more picks like that. After the 4 correct previously, I go through each game very carefully now and make my picks, then reverse most of them. I think I'll try it again and then double reverse them.
