Every year, I have taken the points on at least one Alabama game. Never works. Glad to see I'm not the only one that went for it but it sure ain't looking good already. Why do I do it?

After the defense was embarrassed last week and throw in the QB issue, this was not the week or the opponet to worry about the spread. Of course it is only in the 2nd quarter and they are up by 24. 40 amd 1/5 does not look bad.

I conferred with the great Mr. Hodja about how bad my picks have been over the years, that some weeks I would do better just to "reverse" all the picks.  He suggested I read T leaves.  I was skeptical what I could learn from a Tomato leaf, but gave it a try!

Good picture!  Being from Slocomb, we grew a lot of tomatoes when I was growing up.  The worst job I had was to pick off the hornworms and demolish them...good thing I had a bicycle....

I always heard people ask "When will those Slocomb tomatoes be ready?"  Normally they were the first ones in the state, and everybody loved them.  Then people would get a few in their own garden and late summer ask "Wonder if those Sand Mountain tomatoes are ready?"
