Two predictions about legalized pot come true

Two recent articles highlight two predictions made about the expected adverse effects of legalization of pot. First, traffic fatalities related to pot in Colorado have tripled and will likely keep rising. Yes, despite all the dope heads telling us they should have a right to sit at home and get stoned, as predicted they are out driving and killing themselves and others in large numbers. Gotta get that fast food to slake their munchies. Second, it seems the drug cartels are moving into Colorado in a big way. But wait, I thought the pot addled morons claimed legalization would reduce crime. Not so as predicted and as we saw in Amsterdam. It actually attracts crime and criminals. And now they have a way to launder their illegal drug money via legal pot sales as well as fueling a black market in tax free pot. All so easily predicted.
The real question is whether the good folks in Colorado come to their senses, admit their experiment failed and reverse course. I am not optimistic. So I for one will not go to Colorado on vacation. Don't need stoners running the lifts, stoners on the slopes (any more than already are illegally), stoners on the road and so on. Plenty of great skiing elsewhere.

Not really surprising. People like to test a law and see what they can get away with. It is human nature. Speeding is an example. I imagine the same thing would occurr if this were the end of prohibition in Colorado rather than than legalization of pot. Or, if the age to drink were changed to 18.
Since the government won't buy me a lift ticket, I don't have to make the decision of where to ski that a 1%er like you has to make.
