What was the result of the Syrian crisis? Did the line change colors? Are we on their side now? Did Russia get the best of us?
Best line of the crisis was attributed (probably falsely) to Sarah Palin:
"I can see Putin's footprint on Obama's behind from my house"

Perhaps the Pretender serendipitously gave away any contribution of American blood and resources to the Syrian mess. Well... until Putin tricks Barry and Kerry into some sort of commitment.

“The U.N. Security Council voted
unanimously Friday night to secure and destroy Syria's chemical weapons
stockpile, a landmark decision aimed at taking poison gas off the battlefield
in the escalating 2 1/2-year conflict.” [AP, 28SEP13]
Having
been in business of destroying UXO, I happen to know that The Netherlands,
France, and Germany are MUCH more efficient at on-location destruction of
chemical weapons than are we. The
Germans, especially, are no-nonsense - “git ‘er done” - about it.
The surprise is when Putin et al dupe us into the job… boots on the
ground… at whose expense? On site… in the gun-sights of al Qaeda… using weapons
we gave them.
Bets anyone?
