Does anyone have information about the house fire in the Parker Creek area yesterday?

House that burned is two doors east of Henley, but a shed at the cabin next to Henley burned as well.  Scorched the tall trees on the lot, and got at least three cars.  Do not know anything about how it started or if people were home.

Yes thank goodness no one was hurt. A neighor was grilling and caught pinestraw on fire. As dry as it is I am sure the fire spread rapidly.

Good pics LNG, but check out this one.  Vary scary moment right before the BIG fire truck arrived.  This is when I told my wife that the next house to the right is in trouble.  Zoom in to see the top of the big pine tree burst in to flames!!!!!!!

Great job to all the Fire Departments that responded.  It was not possible to save the burned house, but they did save the next one (3 to the right of Henley).

Lost - 3 cars, 1 boat (fishing boat on trailer), guest house/utility shed, 1 house, dozen trees (at least)

They drove one BMW SUV down to waters edge, but the back was surely BAKED and damaged from the heat.

My husband, teenage boys and I saw smoke and went over. The grass by the first house was scorched and a patch was still burning. We realized that a car was on fire and then the explosions started. It sounded like fireworks or gunfire. I called 911 at 1:17. We wanted to do something but were afraid to get too close because of whatever was exploding. At the point we called 911 it was spreading too quickly for our boat fire extinguisher to have done any good. We realized someone had notified the family of the second house because they came in off the water and were able to move the car and get some stuff out. We didn't hear the first fire truck until 1:42.

I've been sending prayers to all involved, firefighters included. God bless you all. I'm sorry we couldn't do more.

Hey all, the house that was burned belonged to friends of mine. Any pictures are appreciated. I see where LNG might have posted some here but they aren't pulling up when I look. Anyone with pictures please email me through this site (just click on the mail icon by my name above) or email me directly at john (at ) lakemartinvoice dot com

Thanks for your help!

I too had problems viewing the pics.  If you clicked on "View entire thread" they do not show. If you view each individual post you can see the pics from LNG and myself.

Here are 3 more.....

Our sorrow for the owners of the house that burned on Parker Creek last week. We finally saw it and it is total. Once again, sorry it happened and I hope the owners rebound and rebuild it even better.
