The island across from Veazy's (previously known as Waters Edge, previously known as Eagles Point) has heavy equipment in center digging what looks like an area for a home. They were supposed to have a new auction but I did not realize it had already happened. Anyone have info about it?

The auction supposedly took place 4th of July weekend. I got an email a few months ago. I don't think it was an actual auction. I think they are selling the lots instead. The email stated that half the lots have already sold.

I don't know how to attach an image so I can't post the pic from the email. 5 of the lots facing Veazy have sold and one on the other side has sold. The house on the other side of the island has also sold, not the one on the point.

It never seems to make sense to me what different people look for in a permanent lake home or a weekend retreat. And stranger yet is what they are willing to pay for it.
I cannot imagine a more beautiful view of the water and shoreline than from this property. However, you better have excellent lungs, young knees and a good cardiologist at hand to go from the water's edge to the upper levels.

?? I received the ad about the auction also, and never heard anything about it. I heard from the bank privately that they had sold a few lots and still had a few left. But that's about it. Sorry I don't have more info.
