Has anyone noticed the lake levels across Alabama as of April 22. Every lake over 10,000 acres, is within less than 1 foot of full pool, except Wedowee. I've been looking for real estate across Alabama & Georgia, and even though Wedowee is a beautiful lake, I'm afraid this lake is dead. Two straight years of not reaching full pool, when there is sufficient rainfall, dooms this lake. Anyone in real estate would acknowledge this. I've researched the Ala Power web site, to monitor Wedowee's lake levels, and also noticed that the Power Co starts to take this lake down in mid August. Not hard to understand why anyone would want real estate here. Anyone know Ala Powers reason for this????

yep, 1.2 below summer pool. If I were you I would look at Lake Martin. It is only .5 below summer pool. Wedowee is way too crowded as it is. Good luck.

Look again. 792.1, less than 1 foot from full pool?

I'm very happy with the level of our "dead" lake. I was just trying to help the gentleman out a bit and point him to another lake that is not "dead" by his standards.
