Business has to do what a business has to do but I will just say that I pulled up at 7:30 on Saturday to see the complete parking lot empty.  Very disappointed but more shocked than disappointed.....continued on to Kowliga.  Hour and 45 minute wait.....doing the math that put is sitting down around 9pm+. No thanks.  Not knocking Kowliga...just sayn Harbor Docks you are missing out on business. 

Some others walked away at the same time when they heard our wait time.....said they were going to Harbor Docks.  I broke the news to them.

Sounds like you were driving so Parker Creek Marina might be a stretch. If going by boat The Landing has great food and has added more boat slips. Very casual but if you are looking for an inside, sit-down dining experience, that it is not.

Fly...why I can agree with you to some extent that email was sent Fri @ 9:47pm.  I was already knee deep at the lake by then.  Didnt check email on Saturday.  I just guessed since everyone else on the lake was open and doing business they would be too.  

I was by car on this trip so some logistics were not possible.  Most of the time we're boatin but it was kinda cool and windy on the water.  

It's all good.  We ended up with frozen hot wings from the new Dollar General on 63 and a gas station pizza.  Probably saved me about $50      

It was mainly a little marketing advice.....if no one else is open you do a lot more business.  Beat them to the punch and you win.

Their opening was delayed because of repairs needed after flooding caused by broken pipes. And they were at the mercy of contractors, which never makes things easier or faster. So while May 4 probably is a start date that is a week or two later than it needs to be, it wasn't a decision, it was a necessity. (And it sounds like it could have been worse.)
